What is the purpose of a Privacy Policy?

My website provides you with information regarding the services I have to offer and the ability to book a service; as well as to make enquiries and request information about our services.  In order for me to provide you with the website, booking facilities, information and my services I may need to collect personal information about you. 

I want you to use my website, facilities and services safe in the knowledge that any personal information you give me is held in accordance with the law.

I have written this Privacy Policy to tell you:

What information I collect about you

I may collect the following information about you:

  • what kind of services you are interested in

  • other information to allow me to plan and prepare appropriate lessons and workshops you and/or your child are attending (e.g. names and ages of children)

  • your payment details

  • details about services I have provided to you in the past

  • Your wishes with regard to permission to photographs yourself, child and work for publicity purposes as stated in the ‘photography permission form’ you have signed and dated.

I collect information about you in two different categories:

  • Identifiable information – this is information that allows me to identify you such as your name and email address, telephone number etc

  • Anonymous information – I may collect information that does not personally identify you but categories you into a group or sector (e.g. age, marital status, lifestyle) and I can use this information to tailor my services more accurately.

I am committed to ensuring that I have appropriate technical, administrative and physical procedures in place to ensure that your information is protected against loss or misuse. All personal information you provide to me is stored on my secure servers and in a folder which is kept in a secure locked cabinet.

Retention of information

I only hold your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes for which I collected your information.

I have a retention policy which lays down timescales for the retention of information.
